Responsibilities
· Fabricates and assembles metal structures and products according to blueprints and specifications
· Operates various tools and equipment such as shears, saws, drills, grinders, and welding machines
· Cuts, shapes, and bends metal using manual or automated techniques
· Welds components together using various welding techniques
· Grinds, flaps, and polishes Stainless Steel products
· Removes burns, paint seams, and welds on projects
· Removes sharp edges and silicones all voids and cracks
· Labels all outgoing pieces and works with warehouse personnel to place finished pieces in staging area
· Performs quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
· Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and work orders
· Uses measuring tools such as calipers to ensure accuracy of dimensions
· Assembles and installs fabricated components info final products
· Maintains a clean and organized Metal Shop
· Inspects finished products for defects and ensures they meet quality standards
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metalworking processes
- Proficiency in machining techniques and the use of various tools and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during fabrication process
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
